Police find couple who stole a tablet from a Tim Hortons in Barrie

Stealing is never a good idea. A Barrie, Ontario man and women have been charged with theft under $5 for stealing a tablet. No indication what kind of tablet was stolen, or if it was one of these tablets that encourage you to sign up for the Tim Hortons Visa card — which is probably only worth $100.

Barrie Police have charged an Elmvale pair after a tablet was taken from the north Bayfield Street Tim Hortons store. The couple entered the store at 4:40 p.m. last Thursday, allegedly dislodged the tablet from its base and walked out the door with it. Thanks to a Facebook tip, Barrie Police have arrested an Elmvale man and a woman within hours of releasing their pictures in connection to the Sept. 10 theft .

A 41-year-old man and 33-year-old woman were charged with theft under $5,000 and both have an October court date.
