Tim Hortons Named a 2012 Harris/Decima EquiTrend Brand of the Year

Don’t blame them! Millions of Canadians flock to the chain to get their daily fix. In addition, many choose to work there… so congrats to all over at Tim Hortons on being recognized as one of the 2012 brands of the year!

The results were based on a survey from July and August 2012 of 13,384 Canadian consumers aged 15 and over. Tims was in the category of “Equity in the Quick Service Restaurant” which measures perceptions of quality, familiarity and consumer consideration. Full press release below

OAKVILLE, ON. (October 1, 2012)- Tim Hortons announced today that it has received the 2012 Harris/Decima EquiTrend Brand of the Year award, ranked highest on the measure of Equity in the Quick Service Restaurant category. The Equity ranking is based on a composite of three measures: perceptions of quality, familiarity and consumer consideration. These three measures are the foundation of a brand that Canadians know and trust.

Tim Hortons received the highest Equity Score among 34 Quick Service Restaurant brands included in the 2012 Harris/Decima EquiTrend® Study, which is based on the opinions of 13,384 Canadian consumers aged 15 and over, surveyed online during July and August 2012.
