You have to hand it to the thousands of Tim Hortons staff and the millions of Tim Hortons customers. The annual Smile Cookie Campaign started in 1996, but this year raised a record $4,206,550 for local charities. The campaign was between September 17th and September 23rd and saw $1 be donated from the purchase of every smiling chocolate chunk cookie.
Bill Moir, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer at Tim Hortons stated “Everyone at Tim Hortons is thrilled with the generosity of our guests and restaurant owners. We’re all smiles today. Funds raised from the Smile Cookie campaign benefit local charities in every community where they are sold so we can all see the money go to work in our own backyards.”
