How incredibly awesome is this sweet goodness. There’s a couple icons in Canada. One is Tim Hortons, the other is the CFL. The 100th CFL Grey Cup is kicking off on November 25th and Timmies is celebrating in grand style.
Three “products” will be introduced on Monday, October 29th at 600 Tim’s location in the Greater Toronto Area. First, the most boring, is a 100th Grey Cup TimCard. Next is a “special edition Grey Cup-themed hot beverage cups.” The pic shows the cups looking like a leather football and will be available until Grey Cup Sunday. Finally, the pièce de résistance: a football supreme donut. There’s no word on pricing or what the “football supreme donut” tastes like, but it’s probably a Boston Creme shaped like a football and sports the Grey Cup logo.
David McMullen, Tim Hortons VP Marketing for Canada said “Tim Hortons has a long history with the CFL and we’re excited about celebrating the 100th Grey Cup. It’s very rare we change the graphic design of our hot beverage cups, but this milestone in Canadian sports is certainly an excellent reason to do so.”
Bottom line: Timmies is keeping the Canadian pride going.
