“Pour it Forward” lasted for 3 hours and 228 orders

There’s a trend happening at the drive thru at Tim Hortons locations across Canada. Customers have started to pay for the order of the vehicle behind them – it’s was reportedly called “Pour it Forward” after the popular movie “Pay it Forward.”

Before the holidays Timmies themselves marketed a campaign titled “Random Cups of Kindness” where they surprised random guests with free beverages and swag. However, it seems that the “Pour it Forward” experience is still occurring, which is a a nice way to start the year. A Winnipeg Tim Hortons, located on Beaverhill Boulevard, was feeling the love for 3 hours:

“At about 10 a.m. on Dec. 21, a Tim Hortons customer at the Beaverhill Boulevard location decided to pay for the order of the next vehicle in the drive-through line. That began a chain of random acts of kindness that lasted for three hours — and 228 orders.”
