Tim Hortons expands electric vehicle charging station pilot into British Columbia

Timmies and their electric charging pilot has expanded outside of Oakville, Ontario and into British Columbia. The famed Canadian company has partnered up with Plug In BC to install 6 new electric charging stations in the province. If you have an electric vehicle you can now plug in at one of the following Tim Hortons for free, plus secure yourself a prime parking spot.

Here’s the locations:

– 1812 Bowen Road, Nanaimo, BC
– 845 Goldstream Ave, Langford, BC
– 1384 Main Street, North Vancouver, BC
– 6641 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC
– 1861 Sumas Way, Abbotsford, BC
– 1450 United Blvd, Coquitlam, BC

There’s no number on how the pilot project is going, such as how many cars have been charged, but BC is the perfect place for the project to gain traction. Paulo Ferreira of Tim Hortons said “We have been thrilled with the results of the pilot so far. Usage of the charging station in Oakville has surpassed our expectations and we received many calls with requests to expand the pilot.”

I'm obsessed with Tim Hortons. It runs through my veins and I've probably spent enough money downing Steeped Tea's that I could have purchased my own franchise.
