Tim Hortons celebrates 50 years in business with a new cup

Tim Hortons has started 2014 off correct by honouring its 50th anniversary. The Canadian icon has ben serving goodness since 1964. The first location was and still is in Hamilton, Ontario by only offering 2 menu items — coffee and donuts (Apple Fritter and the Dutchie).

As for the menu, well the famous Timbit was introduced to the masses in 1976, followed by a vast selection of muffins, cakes, pies, croissants, bagels, cookies and soups, chili and sandwiches in later years. In addition, the late 1990’s saw the introduction of flavoured cappuccino, Café Mocha and Iced Cappuccino to their offering.

Tim Hortons now operates over 3,000 restaurants across Canada, over 600 locations in the United States and several locations in the United Arab Emirates.
