Pictou will soon have one less Tim Hortons. Truly unfortunate news.
Nova Scotia-based Franchise owner Jim Shaw declared this news earlier this week and stated to the New Glasgow News that “they don’t last forever.” Shaw stated the downtown location was reaching the end of its license agreement and the building lease was up for renewal, so he felt it was time to let it go. The doors will be permanently shut on This specific location, which Shaw has operated since 1987, was one of his lower volume locations as it didn’t have parking or a drive-thru.
The good news is that all the employees will still keep their jobs and be moved to the Pictou Rotary Tim Hortons down the street.
