Cold Stone already being removed from various Tim Hortons

Tim Hortons recently announced plans to remove Cold Stone Creamery from its Canadian operations. The reason, according to their financial report, was from “an evaluation of strategic considerations and the overall performance” of the brand. Apparently Canadians weren’t into the ice cream experience…

The estimated cost to “de-brand” Cold Stone is expected to be $19 million. It seems Timmies execs are taking swift action to put the failed brand behind them as they’ve started to remove Cold Stone from several locations within weeks of making this decision — see the above before and after. Most locations will be utilizing this space with more cashiers or an express lineup specifically designed for coffee-only orders.
