Tim Hortons promotes the new Tims Crispy Chicken Sandwich, encourages people to do the Chicken Dance

Tim Hortons issued a press release today to officially declare plans to dominate lunchtime. The product to lead this charge is the new Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which has actually been available for a month now, but Timmies says that this entry into the “hot chicken sandwich category” will go by the official name of the “Tims Crispy Chicken Sandwich.”

Tammy Martin, VP of Marketing, Food and Merchandise, for Tim Hortons says “The new Tims Crispy Chicken Sandwich is another example of our commitment to menu innovation that meets the evolving needs and preferences of our guests. Tim Hortons is Canada’s top breakfast destination, and our goal is to become Canada’s number 1 lunch destination, as well. In our most recent quarter, we surpassed competitor quick service restaurants with the highest share of lunch traffic.”

To celebrate this monumental addition, starting on Wednesday, March 19th, Tim Hortons wants people to show their love for the chicken by doing the Chicken Dance. According to the release, “Instagram and Twitter followers will be invited to post a video of themselves doing the Chicken Dance, using the hashtag #CrispyChickenDance, for the chance to win a Tim Card to try the new sandwich.”
