Marc Caira, Tim Hortons CEO, recently declared that they “are committed to the U.S.” The company has plans to open up to 300 new restaurants in the United States by the end of 2018.

The data company noted that the above map shows the nearest coffee places among the popular chains within a 10-mile radius. As expected, Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts “dominate,” but they also listed up-and-comers such as Tim Hortons, BLENZ and Coffee Time.
As you can see Timmies is most prevalent in the Buffalo, New York area, but growing. With Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts having thousands of stores it’ll be a tough challenge ahead, but Caira stated they have a “Must-Win Battle” mindset.
