Tim Hortons is going big in the United States over the next 5 years. The Oakville, Ontario-based company recently declared they “are committed to the U.S.” and plan to open up to 300 new restaurants by the end of 2018.
Head honcho Marc Caira visited Buffalo today to show his love for the region, plus also was on deck to unveil the new Tim Hortons Coffee Shop & Bakery at the Sabres’ HarborCenter, which is scheduled to open sometime in the Fall of 2014.
Caira stated that “Tim Hortons heritage is as deeply rooted in Buffalo as it is anywhere else” and showed off artists rendering of the forthcoming store. It’s stunning and pays tribute to the man himself. Tim Hortons stats will be display as will pictures and a life size replica of him in Sabres gear — perfect honour for this 50th anniversary.
In addition, this “one-of-a-kind” Tim Hortons location “will be designed in a historic nature” with brick walls, plus outfitted in Sabres blue and yellow. The total size of this Timmies is over 2,100 square feet.
Caira is also doing what many dream of and will drop the puck at the Sabres and Devils game tonight, plus attendees will score a travel mug. Tim Hortons will become the official coffee of The Rinks at HARBORCENTER. Awesome.
