Bill Moir, Tim Horton’s Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, declared back in August of 2012 that he will be retiring from his position this coming August. The man, who some say is a legend within the business, has been with the Oakville-based company since 1990 and will pass on the responsibility to Peter Nowlan.
In a press release today, Tim Hortons officially announced Nowlan as the Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, effective May 21st, 2014. Nowlan is a familiar face around the beverage isles as he’s currently the Chief Commercial Officer of Molson Coors Canada – so he’ll bring his love of beer to the morning routine and focus on coffee and hot beverages.
Marc Caira, president and CEO of Tim Hortons, said “We are indebted to Bill for his nearly 25 years of leadership in stewarding the unique and privileged brand position we enjoy today, and we believe Peter is ideally positioned to support our ongoing growth and evolution in the future. Peter is a highly respected and proven marketing leader with a track record of success in every role he has had, with experience that spans Canada, the U.S. and International markets.”
Moir will still be hanging around the Tim Hortons hallways and continue his role as President of the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation until the end of 2015.
Peter Nowlan – Welcome aboard!
