Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign started to bring a Tim Hortons to Holland, New York

Owning a Tim Hortons franchise can be an expensive undertaking. To grab your hands on one of these beauties you need around $800,000 and additional cash on hand to run the business on a daily basis. While the Oakville-based company has plans to open upwards of 500 new restaurants over the next 5-years, Holland, New York — population approximately 3,400 — is not on the list of places to receive a location.

Popular crowd funding site Indiegogo is here to help. Dreamer “Kyrsten TheMomma” has put together a project that hopes to bring Tim Hortons to the area and states that “In Holland NY there is almost nothing… Let’s give us a Tim Horton’s! Hot Coffee, a safe place to hang out and wi-fi, and fresh baked goods to bring to church Sunday morning! Help me make it HAPPEN!”

The campaign has raised no money so far, but has a goal are fetching the required $800,000. TheMomma notes that there is a railroad line and the raceway close by, which would bring people into the Timmies.

I'm obsessed with Tim Hortons. It runs through my veins and I've probably spent enough money downing Steeped Tea's that I could have purchased my own franchise.
