Tim Hortons confirms 350 employees lost their jobs this week

Earlier this week Tim Hortons announced that a “significant” number of jobs were cut to “position ourselves for the significant growth and opportunities ahead of us.” The number was rumoured to be in the hundreds and would impact Canadians across the country in its Oakville headquarters and in various regional offices.

According to the CBC, Tim Hortons has confirmed the number to be a total of 350 people. A Tim Hortons rep confirmed that those who lost their job will be provided a “generous and enhanced severance packages, continuing health benefits and outplacement services.”
