Police dog named General helped arrest an impaired driver at a Tim Hortons

A dog is a man’s best friend. This report coming from the CBC confirms this to be true.

A Waterloo Regional Police officer was hit by a fleeing suspect while trying to arrest an impaired driver at a Tim Horton’s restaurant at about 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. When the driver tried to leave the scene, he hit the police officer with his vehicle. The vehicle was later found abandoned.

Shortly after 3:00 a.m., the Guelph police with police dog General came to Kitchener to help track the man. He was found after a 45-minute search. The Kitchener man was arrested and charged with impaired driving by drugs, possession of a controlled substance, assaulting a police officer and dangerous driving.

I'm obsessed with Tim Hortons. It runs through my veins and I've probably spent enough money downing Steeped Tea's that I could have purchased my own franchise.
