Canada, it’s time to pay the piper.
According to a message to loyal patrons, Tim Hortons has declared an increase in some of its hot beverage and breakfast items. Yes, very vague but typically the price increase is about $0.05 to $0.10 per coffee/tea. No word on what breakfast items will see a price increase.
Unfortunately, all the specific details were not listed but the truth will reveal itself on August 2nd.
The reason is “due to rising operational costs,” which one could translate into those heavy and heated discussions with its franchisee partners.
The notice reads, “Please be aware that due to rising operational costs, there will be a slight price increase affecting some hot beverage and breakfast menu items starting Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017. We greatly appreciate your business and look forward to providing you with the same quality, service and value our guests have always expected.”
