The competition: McDonald’s Canada offering $1 coffee for ‘a limited time’

McDonald’s Canada, one of Tim Hortons main competitors, has struck up a promo that will certainly tempt others to switch or just try out their java.

The fast-food chain states, “This holiday season, share some cheer with any size Premium Roast Coffee for just $1 plus tax. Hurry! Starting November 30 for a limited time.”

Rumours are that McD’s shifted to use Timmies old vendor for coffee and switch beans and now apparently its blend is better. Tim Hortons used to have a strong hold on coffee in Canada with 8 out of 10 cups purchased was its coffee, however, that market is now sitting at 7 out of 10. The 10 percent shifted to other brands like McDonald’s, Starbucks, Second Cup, or people just started to make their own at home.

McDonald’s Canada stays its coffee is “made from 100% ethically sourced Arabica beans. Fire-roasted to slightly darker than medium, tailored to Canadian tastes. Consistently rich, smooth and delicious taste.’

I'm obsessed with Tim Hortons. It runs through my veins and I've probably spent enough money downing Steeped Tea's that I could have purchased my own franchise.
