Well, this is not the news Tim Hortons wants to hear, nor its parent company Restaurant Brands International (RBI).
According to Maclean’s Coffee Ranker, McDonald’s Canada is the new coffee favourite in Canada. Tim Hortons used to serve 8 out of 10 cups of coffee in Canada every day, however, this is now at seven out of 10 cups.
Maclean’s notes on its Coffee Ranker that 1,500 people voted and it ranks the 15 largest national chains in Canada. On the list is McDonald’s, Starbucks, Second Cup, Van Houtte, Country Style. A first-place vote gets 15 points, a second-place vote gets 14, and so on.
Here the list, Tim Hortons is now in 4th place.
